David Muir is an American journalist and anchor who is best known for his ABC news program World News Tonight with David Muir as well as for his role in the ABC News magazine 20/20 for where he acts as a co-anchor. The most viewed news show on the air in America is his dramatic series featuring celebrity gossips motion-animated gestures and clips. The anchor is also famous for his Emmy-nominated program Made In America. He was the primary anchor substitute for Diane Sawyer's successor Diane Sawyer before taking over ABC World News Tonight. He was the anchor for numerous evening specials on primetime ABC News some recent ones of which include Breaking Point: Heroin in America and Flashpoint Refugees in America. He's traveled the world, providing news coverage in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He's the winner of multiple Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Award and numerous honors from the Associated Press.
