Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for several years. She was raised by her mom within the USA she was subject to numerous racial insults which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. The confidence started to build during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her performance. It not only increased her confidence but her ambitions were changed. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. She was 23 when she had her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both her big breaks. The greatest achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's first Broadway production. She did not only win the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by reviewers. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC her role was given greater recognition. The actress is also a renowned performer and has released an extended play. She is also a campaigner and has been active for LGBT rights.
