Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul vocalist songwriter and actress. In addition to receiving a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Days is an impressive performer who writes beautifully. Not only is she a master of throwback R&B, her musical roots are blues and gospel jazz. The debut of her album Cheers to The Autumn (2015) she broke in to the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts and was awarded a couple of Grammy acknowledgements. In 2017, her work on Marshall's score was acknowledged with an Academy Award. Amen (2018) Amen (2018) Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe award-winning performance Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) continue to build anticipation for Day's second full album. Born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day was raised within San Diego and its metropolitan city, where she performed at worship and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. After after graduation, she began to gravitate towards modern R&B, pop and jazz but found herself drawn back to the jazz and soul vocalists of the past. Kai Millard Morris, who was able to catch a live performance of Day and took her songs to Stevie Wonder's husband, was the biggest success. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day was signed by Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base with Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans Buskin. DJs started playing it at the radio. After that, she was signed to Warner Bros. Records and began work with the producer Adrian Gurvitz to record her debut album, Cheers to the Fall (2015). The album included the single Rise Up which became an anthem for social justice movements across the globe. Day was nominated to win two Grammy Awards, with the latter being Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album that chronicles the legendary jazz artist's life and career, came out in 2019. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographical account of Holiday which was released in the same year. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. Her first appearance was on TV programs like Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods, before debuting in horror movies Halloween as well as sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
